A long time fan of Seydou Keita, I am so happy to see his archive online. The photographer's effortlessly cool portraits create a historic record of African people and their fashion, which emphasized local motifs on Western forms. Keita was first internationally recognized in 1994 with an exhibition organized by the Cartier Foundation in Paris.
