Countess Veruschka von Lehndorff

1968

Known for her beauty not her social status, Veruschka was born to a German Count and Persian Countess. During World War II, her father resisted German forces and was assassinated. Veruschka and her family were sent to labor camps and lived in poverty until her rise as a model in the 1960's.
