Gucci Museum

The tri-level, 14th century Palazzo della Mercanzai in Florence opened doors yesterday night to the dinner above, in honor of the 90 year Gucci archive. The establishment of fashion label museums allows creative work, and luxury craftsmanship to be preserved. The Gucci museum archive includes historic leather work, the iconic bamboo handbags, suitcases, golf club bags, gowns and treasures from the Tom Ford era. Gucci also supports the arts through the Tribeca Film Festival and the Dia Art Foundation which will be presented here and the ground floor will be used to host works from the Pinault collection.
