Above and below A.P.C. F 2012. There are few clothes that can give access to the essence of a culture the way that A.P.C. whispers French. The label always captures the joie de vivre of Paris streets, embedded into the fabrics and seams. The clothes are mid century Godard meets 70s Birkin; a country house in provence colliding with Club Med, French teenagers leaving school passing French lovers meeting for a matinée. A.P.C. is always classic, appropriate and subtly sexy, always French. While we celebrate radical new creations of designers this season, bravo to Jean Touitou for every season.
